Often we don't think about what we are putting on our bodies. It's easy to pick out something stylish or cheap or with a particular pattern on it. They are readily available in every store we pass. We've become used to the quality being sub par because it's what is available and it's what we've had for so long. It's easier to not think about how that product was produced, if it's ethical or ecofriendly. In a time where self care is becoming a necessity in daily life, why not start with where you lay your head at night?

Here are just a few of the reasons we use bamboo for the majority of our products.

Bamboo is Allergy Friendly

Bamboo is great for those with sensitive skin or even eczema, as it's hypoallergenic. It is a thermoregulating fabric, which means it will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, it does this by wicking away excess moisture which is the #1 culprit of eczema flair ups.

Bamboo is Anti-Nasties

Bamboo is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, which is great if you tend to drool on the pillow or sweat at night. The fabric keeps it's integrity even after multiple trips to the washing machine.

Bamboo is Smooth like Butter

Have you ever felt bamboo fabric? It has a lush feel to it, almost silky, smooth with a buttery feel to the touch. Give your body a treat and go feel some bamboo fabric! Often at trade shows or markets, we will have customers catch a glimpse of our pj's and come over just for a feel. If you have felt it, imagine wrapping your body up in a pair of bamboo pj's or laying your head on a bamboo pillow case, the absolute best.

Bamboo and Mother Earth

Bamboo is a great fabric for your body for the reasons up above, but it's also an eco-friendly resource that looks out for Mother Earth. When bamboo is produced the water used is recycled, making it a water conserving resource.

It is the fastest growing plant on the planet. It needs little to no help from us to regenerate, which is great because that means it doesn't use nasty pesticides or chemicals in it's production.

Bamboo detoxifies the air we breath. It produces 30% more oxygen then the equivalent amount of trees, absorbing more carbon dioxide and green house gases then trees do.

These are the reasons we absolutely love bamboo. Hopefully you are converted now, do something for yourself and for the planet and give bamboo a chance.
